I manage the cluster team and commission contracts along with overseeing the cluster budget and finances. I lead on action plan targets to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people at risk of becoming looked after, with low school attendance, attainment and achievement and those not engaging in education, training or employment. I lead on targeted interventions at a cluster level to contribute to the outcomes of the Leeds Children and Young Peoples Plan.
Sam Stewart - Target Service Manager
I support the targeted service leader to manage the cluster team. I manage the family support workers and through supervision, training and development support the team to improve outcomes for vulnerable young people at risk of becoming looked after, with low school attendance, attainment and achievement and those not engaging in education, training or employment.
Abby Nixon - Office Admin Manager
My role is to support the JESS Team in various areas of work, which include preparing and planning for upcoming meetings
I am part of the organising & planning for the transition weeks that year 6 children attend in the summer holidays
I collate data from across all schools within cluster and prepare reports and statistics for both internal and external use and present at both leadership and attendance meetings.
I support the TSL and TSM in preparing the information to contribute towards the outcomes of the Leeds Children and the Young People’s Plan
Jo Walker - Family Support Case Worker
Experienced Lead Professional in Early Help assessments and meetings. Formulating with families.
Outcome focused target setting. Information sharing and multi-agency working. Continuous assessment and safeguarding. 1:1 sessions with children and young people – themes include emotional literacy, self-esteem and confidence building, resilience, healthy relationships, safety, identity. Ongoing emotional support and practical advice. Signposting to other agencies and supporting families to attend appointments. Housing, benefits and budgeting. Organise play schemes and targeted teenager groups. Delivering evidence based parenting programmes. Organise family trips, residential and events. Link school support
Liz Shillito - Family Support Case Worker
To work Holistically with parents and children as a lead professional to help identify family needs, to co ordinate meetings that work through an action plan as part of the EHP process and to support the engagement of families to make change
I facilitate courses to promote positive strategies for behaviour and healthy parent/ child relationships, I also adapt this for 1 to 1 sessions at home. I provide 1 to 1 sessions with children and young people at home or in school, focused around recognising emotions/confidence/self-esteem/listening to their view on their family life etc.
Jemma Bowater - Family Support Case Worker
I work part time and hold a caseload of 8 families, initially using the formulation model as our assessment tool to dictate our Early Help on common goals agreed by the family, in conjunction with school and any other services supporting the family via regularly multi agency meetings.
I also work collaboratively with the wider community and support networks in order to promote positive wellbeing within the whole family. Delivering a variety of programs, groups and 1to1’s with parents/ children. 1to1’s including self- esteem, emotional literacy/ regulation, confidence, boundaries, routines etc.
We also refer and signpost families to access wider support including Welfare Rights, debt, training, housing, Mental health, physical health needs etc.
Sophie Carroll - Family Support Case Worker
I hold a caseload of 14 families and work with all families with early help plans. I enjoy running the SFSC course and use this a lot within 1:1 sessions with parents and carers to implement consistent and effective parenting strategies. I build good relationships with professionals and enjoy networking and working closely within multidisciplinary teams. I enjoy working with children and young people to help them positively regulate emotions, recognise negative behaviours and to develop confidence and self-esteem. I have recently facilitated a Caring Dad’s program and feel the course content and philosophy will greatly support me in all future work with fathers within the JESS Cluster.
Emma Rutherford -Family support Case Worker
I Confidently lead on Early Help Assessments. Co-ordinating services and managing SMART, holistic action plans. Co-ordinated targeted activity groups for young people aged 11-16. These have included physical activity trips, team building activities (local centres). Sessions with young people aged 4+ have focused around- self esteem, healthy relationships, Internet safety, confidence building and recognising emotions. Keen interest in models of CSE and recognising signs and effects on both children and Families. Able to build good links with parents/carers & provide practical& emotional support. & adapt course materials for 1:1 sessions. Working with men who have been abusive to either their partners/children (Caring Dads)
Tanya - Brown Cunningham - Family Support Case Worker
I am a full time Family Support Worker for the JESS Cluster, starting in July 2022. Holding a case load of up to 14, I involve my families in the formulation process (assessing presenting needs and concerns) weekly home visits and work closely with the families to improve their outcomes, through the EH process as Lead Practitioner. My role also involves me formulating meeting between families and the schools we work with in the community, also work collaboratively and holistically.
Nicki Wyke Ulliot - Family Support Case Worker
My role as a family support worker is to support families with a wide range of needs. these could include supporting with bed time routines, dietary needs, health, education, emotional, self-esteem and well being. the list is vast and varied. We work with other professions to empower you and your family to achieve your goals. Support in becoming confident within yourself to deal with the challenges you are faced with. We can help you to gain skills to make changes to your current and future circumstances. We will do 1;1 and full family sessions.
